Travel Around Cornwall
If you haven’t yet booked up any accommodation and want to take in as many sights as possible, it is wise to stay in a more central location such as St Austell, Truro (not much accommodation in Truro though!) or Falmouth, and tour.
Take a look at the “Things to do in Cornwall” page and the Events Notice Board for help in deciding which attractions you would like to visit, which events you would like to attend, and where they are located.
To give you a rough idea, by car, it takes around 2-2 ½ hours to travel from one end of Cornwall to the other (say, Bude to Land’s End), so bear that basic scale in mind when making your plans.

The A30 and A38 are the two main holiday routes within Cornwall, with dual carriageways up to Carland Cross, Mitchell and Penzance. Off the main carriageways, the roads can become jammed, as they can become rather windy and narrow... a clash of overconfident local drivers and overcautious tourists can sometimes cause a frustrating accident!
