Trebah is a 26-acre ravine garden with a quiet, private beach on the historic Helford River. A stream cascades over waterfalls, through ponds full of giant Koi carp and exotic water plants, through two acres of blue and white hydrangeas, before spilling out over the beach. Glades of enormous tree ferns, bamboos and palms mingle with giant gunnera and a rolling canopy of 100-year old rhododendrons, magnolias and many trees and shrubs.
Children can look at the gunnera passage, a tunnel of giant rhubarb 16 feet high, and race around the bamboozle. Trebah has play areas and trails for children of all ages, with swimming and picnics on the beach.
Award-winning café serving homemade dishes; two gift shops; dogs welcome in the garden.
