Minack Theatre

Outstanding
User Rating: Outstanding

The Minack is a gorgeous theatre built entirely out of stone and rock.  Visit by day and enjoy the spectacular views over Porthcurno Bay to Logan Rock; even better, visit by night in the “theatre under the stars” and enjoy a show in this unique open-air stage.

Sub-tropical plants and spectacular scenery.  Another must-visit.  Day-tours tell of the Rowena Cade story – a formidable woman who built the Minack with her bare hands (and a little help from local craftsmen).  A truly inspiring woman.

Coffee shop.

The Minack has a summer season of plays, opera and musicals which runs for seventeen weeks. Experience everything from Shakespeare to Gilbert and Sullivan. Check out the Minack website for further details.

I can't think of another place in the world quite like this. It's a true unique experience watching Shakespeare being performed as the evening sun sets over the sea!
