Goonhilly Earth and Satellite Station has reinvented itself as "Future World", dubbed “the latest attraction unique to Cornwall and the only place where you become a futurologist, share your thoughts and predictions for the next 100 years and beyond.”
There is a state of the art, high definition holographic stage show and a "Future Project" display, where visitors’ ideas can be stored and collated for the world to see. Visitors also have the opportunity to control a "real" robot, making it laugh, sing and even tell jokes! But probably not terribly funny ones.
Learn about 200 years of communications technology, check emails in the free internet café, watch film shows and make a free telephone call to anywhere in the world. With gimmicks like that, you won’t just want to visit, you’ll want to tell your own landlord where to stick it and move in there permanently.
There is also a restaurant.
Some interesting and stimulating futuristic-themed exhibits; check the website for more details.

What an amazing experience. Tourists will need to open their minds (and memories) however! How so much was achieved in this windswept but beautiful area defies belief.
BT - be imaginative - don't let this site fade to nothing. Be proud of this British achievement and maintain it as the living museum it deserves to be. The move to Madley was obviously for commercial convenience and not for technical reasons. Goonhilly is your medal - wear it pride. |

Total waste of time & money. Admission fee gets you in then it's pay, pay PAY for anything else. This is a total rip-off - AVOID AT ALL COSTS ! |

WHAT A CON!!
The Bus trip to Project Future. Where you get to tour the no longer in use satellite dishes. But you can't see them as the Bus windows are covered in stickers.Neither can you hear the prerecorded waffle thanks to the noisy Bus engine. Project Future - waste of time and effort. |

This place is a complete waste of time. £7.95 per adult and then find out inside that tours and extras cost from an additional £5 to £29. Restaurant expensive, free phone call didn't work on one phone, tried another phone only to be greeted with the message that 'this number has already been dialled'. Planetarium (weird ticketing system) too small and couldn't hear a thing the guide was saying for all the noise and shouting from the visitors outside this blow up tent. Certainly not an attraction I would recommend to anybody visiting Cornwall. You'd have more enjoyment dropping a stone into the water down the shaft of Great Flat Lode. |

Dire! A waste of time and money in the middle of nowhere. for your seven odd pound admission you get to browse the shop, restraunt, a huge kids play area, an internet cafe and some displays that told you nothing you cant find on the internet in a few minutes. We were dissapointed to find that the one thing we were interested in, visiting one of the dishes, would be an extra six pounds! which puts it at the same price as the tower of London. the staff act as though they know its an outrageous set up and look at us as thought they are expecting, and are used to people complaining. Im sorry but i dont consider a shop and a restaurant as being attractions worth paying to see! I agree with another reviewer... some of the reviews here have obviusly been written by staff... they're so formulaic. |

I can't believe that the 5 and 4 star reviews weren't written by The Management... this attraction needs a big overhaul because at the moment it's pricey and dumbed-down. It could be so much better. By all means go if you're into this kind of thing but don't hold high hopes! |

The exhibits had very little to do with the past and present activity at Goonhilly. There was little information about the dishes and the submarine cables that are terminated at the site. I got the impression that eveything had been dumbed down. I paid extra to go on a very limited tour of dish No 1 (Arthur) and was disappointed at the poor knowledge of the guide who could only repeat what she had read in a script. It turned out that I knew more than she did!
Overall, it was on ok visit - I enjoyed it but it came nowhere near to my expectations.
The cafe at the site is ok and the prices are average. |

A Very Good venue for anyone with children in the 3 - 103 age group, plenty of technology for little people, would come again without hesitation, excellent venue.. |

We enjoyed an excellent family day out. When we visited there was plenty to occupy us all from hi-tech to local interest and of course the Satellite historical aspect. The staff could not have been more helpful and and helped us with everything we wanted. The restaurant offers good quality food for an attraction of this type and there is a well stocked shop. An excellent day out in a less than excellent summer which left us with happy memories. |

Waste of time and money. A completely dumbed-down ridiculous 'experience'. Nothing had any relevance the historic nature of the site *at all*. If you like being treated like an idiot and surrounded with stuff that looks like a knee jerk reaction a 'that'll be good' brainstorming session, then this is the place for you. Expensivly presented nonsense. Not worth the Co2 it took to get there. Dire! Meh! |

We visited in August 2008 - poor weather closed Arthur and Segway. We have two young kids (6 and 4) who were very excited about the possibility of meeting a robot and the other attractions advertsied. Frankly the who exhibiition is a disappointment - Future Scope in particular is poor, with no real direction or point, few interactive displays and the video show seemed to have no point to it at all. We visited Flambards later in the week and the 'Hands On' feature was infinitely better. I would not recommend unless Arthur tours were on and the kids were older than say 10 years. |

When we visited nothing was available! And what was available was broken!- the free phones were out of order, one X-box and the webcams were broken, there was no 'Arthur' tour (the big dish). The exhibition element was below average. AND Segway sessions have to be booked in advance! our boys missed out on it and boy, were we unhappy. Ring ahead and you might be ok... I won't be going again! My boys and I are into electronics and all that and ultimately we just found the video, the exhibitions and the whole thing just plain boring. Cafe was average and expensive too. Avoid! go to cornwall for the scenery, not for so-called attractions like this. |

Jived up and jazzed up with an evil-looking robot. Still great family fun. |
